
The Chamois International Congress is organized during the Apennine chamois (Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata) conservation project Life Coornata, started in 2010 and ending in September 2014, whose coordinating beneficiary is the Majella National Park.
The general aim of the Chamois International Congress is to share and divulge the knowledge about chamois ecology and conservation, considering the different situations associated with all the subspecies existent.

Invited lecturers include experts coming from the geographic area comprised between Spain and Georgia as well as members of the Caprinae Specialist Group and the Reintroduction Specialst Group of the IUCN.
