The Restaurant building is the old S.Antonio da Padova in Palena Convent, an ancient building of notable historic, cultural, artistic and architectural importance.

The Convent construction started, with the approval of the Pope Paolo III, on August, 21st, 1539, presumably on the ruins of the preexisting S. Cristinziano Monastery whose existence is witnessed in a document of 1065.

 

Inside the building  you can still appreciate numerous historic and artistic evidences such as  a magnificent courtyard with 23 lunette frescos, completely restored, of the XVII century and a oil painted fresco representing "The Last Supper", inspired to the famous picture of Leonardo Da Vinci.
